2011

In 2011, I left for Australia in May, to become an au pair for a year. I normally have a pile of books waiting for me to read, but the trip, adjusting to the time change, and getting used to my schedule just plain threw me off. I think I only finished one book per month for my first three months in AUS. It wasn’t until August or September that I began to read in quantity once more. So, when a fellow blogger’s book list suggested the idea of keeping track of my reading, I was unable to remember all of them, and disappointed that my list wasn’t as long as it could have been.

But, as you’ll see, I read quite a variety of genres, though I was reading a lot of fantasy at the end of the year. I usually binge on fiction for a while, then go for several good biographies, general histories, or political books, and back again. I have to keep a good mix going. I hope my reading selection will inspire someone else to try something new! Enjoy!
